Night run

Well, actually, all my weekday runs are night runs.  Tonight was interesting because I was running on a rail trail with only my headlamp for light and I could hear coyotes howling off in the distance.  Even though I could tell they were far away the sound is still chilling.  Definitely put a little extra pep in my step :)

Post run snack was a handful of grapes and as much water as I dare drink just before going to bed.  No sense taking in a big pile of calories I don't need.  A recent thread in the RWOL forums got me thinking about all the stealth calories in my daily routine.  Those are calories I need to work hard to control.  Just being aware of their presence is a step in the right direction.

Is it spring yet where you are?  Spring is starting to displace winter here.  Still a lot of snow in the woods, but everywhere else is really thinning out.

Hope you all had a super day!

Nice run! That would put pep in my step too if I heard those coyotes. Instead, running on the lakefront trail - we have all 'types' of folks.

The forum made me think hard about my stealth calories as well. It was a good post. Nice run you did there. I get nervous about night runs for safety reasons, but it must be cool to do.
